Vancouver runs on some of the oldest heating stock in the region: mid-century furnaces in East Van and Kitsilano character homes, and a meaningful population of boilers and radiators in pre-war houses and older apartment buildings. We repair, service and replace both — and when a furnace past 15 years fails, we quote the like-for-like swap and the heat-pump conversion side by side, since Vancouver's rebate eligibility often changes which one actually costs less.
Vancouver specifics we plan for
Character-home replacements come with character-home constraints: tight mechanical closets, venting routed through finished space, and undersized gas lines from earlier eras. We measure before we quote — combustion testing on the old unit, heat loss calculation for the new one — so the replacement fits the house rather than fighting it.
Engineer-operated, local to Vancouver
NEO SERVICE TECH LTD is operated by a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience, based at 5050 Kingsway in Burnaby and serving Vancouver and the surrounding Lower Mainland. Every project starts with measurement — combustion testing, load calculation, gas and electrical verification — and both the mechanical and electrical work stay with one team. Rated 5.0 on Google.
